The University of Birmingham was named University of the Year in 2013-14. We are an international community of 34,000 students from over 150 countries. Our 250 acre campus includes a botanic garden, galleries, museums, a multi-faith chaplaincy, cafes, bars, shops, 10 libraries (housing 2.7 million books) and our own train station, all just 3 miles from the city centre!
For over 100 years the University of Birmingham has led the way, and our staff and students have made ground-breaking discoveries in cancer vaccines and space research. We offer a wide range of courses and lots of student support including finance, welfare and counselling, careers advice, and support for students with disabilities.
