Young people aged 16 to 19 and adults returning to learning need support to navigate the increasingly complex and competitive world of higher level education, training and work. Careers are increasingly dynamic, and older students need support to explore their choices strengthen their career adaptability, become more resilient and develop robust progression plans.
Aimhigher West Midlands supports this vital work by providing a wide range of activities, support and resources. These include activities enabling post-16 students to refine their career progression plans, investigate their options in more detail, make well-informed decisions and prepare for a successful transition to higher education or employment. These include a range of university masterclasses, targeted summer schools, mentoring, numerous IAG events and workshops exploring all aspects of UCAS, Student Finance and study skills development.
