Fundraising for Macmillan

The Aimhigher team are taking part in a number of personal and team challenges to raise money for Macmillan.

On Thursday 25 October, members of the team will be running 107 laps (a marathon and a bit!) of an athletic track, that’s one lap for every year that Macmillan has been supporting cancer sufferers.

Mickie our  Aimhigher Progression Ambassador (APA) has volunteered to shave off her long, curly hair which she will subsequently donate to the Little Princess Trust, another charity which creates wigs for young people who have lost their hair due to illness.

Jamaal another of our APAs has volunteered to dye his hair and beard any colour that the team choose! If we reach the £400 target, he will also wax his entire body – ouch!

Our partner universities are also hosting a number of charity bring or bake sales.
