At the start of February, 47 students attended the Revision Weekender at Boreatton Park in Shropshire. Students took part in revision sessions interspersed with a range of outdoor activities. Fun activities like aero ball, climbing, abseiling and the challenge course tested the students’ communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.
Here’s what some of the students had to say:
“I enjoyed meeting new people, doing the activities and having a new experience. I learnt the way of revising which works best for me and how to balance revision with activities. I would definitely come again but in the summer.”
“I enjoyed being with people from different schools. I found the challenge course difficult. The whole weekend was really good and I’ve tried doing things out of my comfort zone.”
“I enjoyed doing things I’ve never done before: meeting new and different people. I found it difficult to interact at first and joining in. However, I loved it.”
“I enjoyed meeting new people and doing challenging activities. I challenged my fear of heights.”
“I enjoyed doing abseiling and doing aero ball. I overcame my fear of heights with rock climbing and pushed myself.”
